How PowerUP Your World Works

PowerUP Your World combines Sunday School/Small Groups and missions in a church-wide effort to grow Acts 1:8 Missional Christians.

PowerUP:

• Is an 8 Sunday strategy;
• No curriculum to buy. Use the curriculum you are already using!
• Incorporates both worship and Sunday School/small groups;
• An easy to use "how to" manual for the pastor with week by week instructions; 
• Every Sunday School class conducts at least one mission project during the eight weeks;
• Use the "Missional Christian Survey" at the beginning and again at the end of PowerUP Your World. The survey helps participants measure key aspects of their spiritual growth. The Missional Christian Survey also has guide to help participants commit to prayer, Bible study, evangelism, and missions.
• Engage your church with the P3 Mission Journal, a 50 day journal that includes devotions, prayer, weekly Scripture verse memory, and pages for sermon notes;
• 9 videos (each about 2 minutes) help encourage and inspire your people;
• Sermon trailer video (show before each sermon) helps keep your church focused on Acts 1:8 missions;
• A CD-ROM with 20 sermon outlines from missional passages to assist the pastor with sermon preparation;
• Includes a worship CD-ROM with outlines for eight worship services including references for music;
• A resource kit that contains a sample of all PowerUP Your World resources;
• A reproducible Class Prayer Guide to help your classes or groups pray more missionally;
• PowerUP Your World contains orientation materials to train your leaders.

Our world is looking for churches that they see as having value to their community. Involving your church in class mission projects not only provides a much needed service to people in need and engages your church members in missions, but it also increases the visibility and value of your church in your neighborhood. Christ said that we are the salt and light for the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Class mission projects are an effective tool to engage more of your people in missions, evangelism, and personal growth.

The key strategy behind PowerUP Your World is that the class or small group is the key building structure of the local church. To affect real church and personal change, it has to happen in the smallest common denominator of the church - the class!
